Living in a close community, like a complex means there have to be rules to keep the peace and to ensure the day to day running of the property. This includes the ongoing maintenance and upkeep.

  • CAcquaint yourself with the rules and regulations of the body corporate, which can be obtained from the managing agents of the chairman of the body corporate.
  • As soon as you notice any signs of damp or discoloring in your unit, obtain the services of a leak detector to locate the source of the lead and remedy the problem.
  • Any claim should be reported to the broker via the managing agents. In some complexes it may be necessary to report loss or damage to the chairman as well.
  • Always ensure that the unit owner completes and signs the claim form.
